I build quality into engineering, not onto the end of it.
For 22 years I have turned testing teams into quality engineering organizations: the kind where quality is designed in, measured openly, and owned by engineering, not inspected in during the last week before release.
A lot of that is hands-on strategy work: I design test strategy and test automation strategy, architect frameworks that scale across distributed teams, and define the quality gates and metrics that make releases predictable.
Today I lead enterprise Quality Engineering across a global fintech's product lines. I'm convinced the next real gain comes from an AI-augmented delivery lifecycle: automation, AI-assisted engineering, and predictive quality intelligence working as one system that ships faster with fewer surprises, not as a slide full of buzzwords.
How I work
Quality is a system, not a gate
It belongs in the pipeline, the roles, and the metrics, not in a frantic check the week before release.
Prevention beats detection
The cheapest defect is the one that never ships. I invest upstream: design, quality gates, and fast feedback.
AI as leverage, not theatre
Generative and agentic AI earn their place when they cut cycle time and surface risk early. Measured, never marketed.
Eat your own cooking
I hold my own work to the standard I ask of others. If I recommend it, I have already lived with it.
